London Bombed!!!
The TV is again playing horrific images of an un-provoked terrorist attack, this time on Central London.
More than 37 dead with the number of fatalities growing , 400 walking wounded and who knows how many serious casualties all caused by what police say was a series of bomb blasts, all without warning, on 3 tube trains and 1 London Bus, in quick succession starting shortly before 9 this morning.
Initial news reports gave the incorrect cause as power surges for the blasts on the tube trains at least, but, with a growing sickening feeling in the pit of my stomach I watched the unfolding horror as it became obvious that these were a series of terrorist bomb attacks on the commuters and tourists travelling into Central London.
Unconfirmed reports attribute the bombings to Al Qaeda. The police have stated that they have not recieved any information to back this up as yet.
Tony Blair described the attacks as 'barbaric' and added "whatever they do, it is our determination that they will never succeed in destroying what we hold dear in this country''.
"The war on terror goes on," President George W. Bush told reporters at Gleneagles. "We will not yield to the terrorists."
My thoughts and prayers, for what they are, go out to the victims, families and freinds, and we all, as one nation should pray that this carnage is stopped once and for all and that those responsible pay for what they have done!
